Carly Slack presented books and reading advice to parents at the reception. Slack gave the books and reading tips as part of her Girl Scout Silver Award project.

“The purpose for my project was to help a few more children develop the early experiences that would help them become avid readers,” she said.  “Children need to have books available.”
