As the directors of Chesterfield County,
our vision is that we provide the highest quality care possible at affordable rates, provide professional environment for staff with updates on all
early childhood issues, and provide resources for our parents that
will keep them informed and provide help in areas that they are in need of.

Chesterfield County Child Care Directors Networking Forum

Through our coordination, child care directors now have a networking forum in order to share information and ideas and to receive training and support.The Forum meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in one of the member center. In recent years, the Forumhas expanded on directors' VISIONS for their programs through the resource, The Visionary Director: A Handbook for Dreaming, Organizing, and Improvising in Your Center. This practical guide offers a concrete framework for organizing an early childhood director's thoughts and work. Chapters cover topics such as cultivating a vision, developing "systems thinking" for management roles, implementing principle and strategies for mentoring and building a learning community for adults and children.
